A love letter for Colorado, from Colorado. Founded in 2010, Colorado Native began as a novel idea–craft a beer with nothing but Colorado ingredients and distribute only in Colorado. But over time that idea began to feel like it was missing something. Packaging that highlighed landscapes and wildlife failed to capture the true essence of the Colorado lifestyle. Where else can you go backcountry skiing, fly fishing and catch a baseball game in a single day? So we repositioned, rebranded and repackaged Colorado Native with a more casual, laid back approach to the visuals, more focused naming and a holistic approach to illustration that enabled better storytelling. We aimed to celebrate the Colorado lifestyle, because we believe everyone deserves to taste it.









03.DETAILS

By creating a library of illustrations we could weave narratives across each can to tell unique aspects of the Colorado lifestyle. Whereas before a single landscape illustration represented the flavor, now a group of illustrations tell a unique story. Whether that’s a story about a glorious day out on the lake or an unforgettable night at Red Rocks, we can now tap into IYKYK style experiences and memories all Coloradans share. And the style is scalable so for every new beer we can tell a new story.
